Funding for Festivals in East Yorkshire

East Riding of Yorkshire Council – Arts Grants 2018/19

The Arts Grants scheme is administered and provided by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

The funding is intended to provide support to organisations providing arts activities in the East Riding.

Priority will be given to organisations meeting the Council’s corporate priorities which are:

  • Maximising our potential.
  • Valuing our environment.
  • Supporting vulnerable people, reducing inequalities.
  • Promoting health, wellbeing and independence.
  • Reducing costs, raising performance.

Grants can help with an arts-related activity, performance, exhibition, event or project.

Funding can be used for:

  • Running costs.
  • Marketing and publicity.
  • Hire of facilities.
  • Programme costs.
  • Performance costs.

A broad range of art forms are eligible including music (instrumental and vocal), dance, drama, mime, folk arts, community arts, creative writing, architecture, painting, sculpture, crafts, textile design, costume, cinema, video, computer based artwork, photography and puppetry.

There are normally two application rounds:

  • Applications for grants over £2,000.
  • Applications for grants under £2,000.
